We are happy to announce the release of the new and improved Pcounter for HP.
... a significant update.
The embedded module is no longer necessary on most recent HP machines that have up to date firmware. (Although the embedded is still available to use if necessary). So no actual software is needed to be installed on the printer anymore, everything is handled via interaction with the server.
The other big difference is in the Security > Access control settings, i.e. apps made available to guests and users. It isn’t possible to manage these via the device web browser, so they are instead handled in the Pcounter for HP Configuration utility.
